Status of Mono Stuff

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had good holidays and are starting the new year in a good place! I’m starting it off really well, and wanted to give you some updates on things.

• First, wanted to thank you all for your patience with stories this year. I spent the better part of this last year working on the Colors of The Soul expansion/remake, and because I told myself I wouldn’t publish until it’s finished, that means that a TON of work is still locked inside my Gdrive (and accessible only to kofi/patron supporters). I am really stoked for it, and I think it’ll be a great story, so please be patient as I try to finish it since it keeps spiralling out of control, lmao.
• Another reason I’ve been quiet is because I’ve been applying to graduate school! I finished all the applications last month, and if all goes well, and I get accepted, I’ll be moving to another state sometime this year to get an MFA in Creative Writing. The process of applying to the schools was really harrowing, admittedly, since I had to basically fight all my demons and self-esteem issues as I tried to convince these schools why I’m a Good Writer(TM). I also ended up using a chapter of new Crimson Lips as my writing sample. I should be hearing back sometime in March, so fingers crossed.
• I’ve also had a job these past few months! Unfortunately, that was taking up some of my mental space for writing, but fortunately/unfortunately it’s ending in February (it’s a seasonal job) so writing will go back to being my full-time job. I expect you’ll be seeing a lot of writing from me then.
• But not just then! This year has started INCREDIBLY well for me, mostly because I’ve learned some new methods for dealing with my perfectionism and anxiety, and I’ve been consistently writing 700+ words daily since the start of the new year! I’ve finished a chapter of Colors, am just about to finish the next chapter of TEra, and did a bunch of side-stories for Telverse. I’m trying not to jinx myself, but if this keeps up, there’s a real chance a lot of long-standing projects might finish this year.
