- Today we find a despondent Sweetie Belle in a place where she wants to be: the bottom of a well. The well is as deep as Canterlot Castle is tall. It is made of blue brick, it is round and narrow, and crucially, there is no water in it so rather than floating, Sweetie is sprawled on the bottom of a well, her face scrunched up into a frown. A distant noise breaks the quiet, and she looks up to find, way off in the distance, a single pony head peering down at her. A call follows soon after, and she can…

Once upon a time, Twilight Sparkle celebrated multiple Equestrian holidays in a single day. Back when things were easier. Simpler. She’d been reading a book in her library and stopped when she heard noises in the distance, her strange new non-displaced acquaintance having returned to visit her. She’d put her book down and made her way through her library—literally so, her body going through the bookcase aisles of her permanent home. When she reached the main entrance, she found Rarity…- 231.2 K • Completed
When dear Aqua Swing settled down at the Sapphire’s lobby desk that Monday morning, putting down her cup of tea and organizing her papers, she hadn’t expected much of the day. It was a day like any other, she thought, with events she could prepare for such as: Clients being late, as always. Rainbow Dash ‘dealing’ with a few bad apples. Rainbow Dash flirting with Shimmer Glass, and Aqua having to scold her to get her on her way. My good self descending from my room at some point and sullenly…- 119.3 K • Completed
- Dear friend. It has been a while, hasn’t it? Not for you, I imagine, for you know everything that ever was and ever will be, and yet… And yet here I am, telling you my story as if you don’t know it already. Then again, I suppose this is the nature of storytelling, isn’t it? Every story told we already know, yet we still yearn to hear it again and again, each time freshened up with a different coat of paint. But you seem upset, today, dear friend. I wonder why. Is it because I directly…

- You’ll have to forgive me, dear friend, as I start today’s meeting with completely unrelated thoughts on death and stories. I’ve been thinking about death a lot. Surely you must be thinking, “how could you not? Here of all places,” but in truth, death has always fascinated me, even in life. I recall a conversation I’d had at the Sapphire once, a month or so after I’d made it my permanent home. I was nineteen at the time, I believe. To say that first month was hard would be an…

- “How much longer?” “We’ve passed this bookcase four times already!” “How do you know? They all look the same!” “Honey, hurry up!” Under the twilit sky, four arguing foals made their way through a labyrinth of bookshelves, searching and searching and searching for the missing princess of old. The youngest, trailing behind, carried with her a small saddlebag where she’d stored the Elements of Harmony—the only objects capable of defeating the Spirit of olde. “Honey!” a…

- Dear friend. I must confess you seem sad. It’s an impression I’ve had for a while now, you could say—something I noticed in your gaze. I didn’t want to say anything at first. Honestly, I told myself I imagined it. Why would you be sad? You who knows all, from how things began to how they will end. Or how most things will end. My fate still lies in your bony hands, and if you are sad as you seem to be, I must admit that does not bode well for your side of our wager. But…

“I have to admit this is kinda weird,” Twilight Sparkle said, readjusting herself on the picnic mat for the umptenth time, offering an awkward smile at… well, herself. It had been several hours already since she’d met her counterpart, but she felt she’d never get used to it. “But it is fascinating, though! Why do you think you need glasses and I don’t?” Twilight, the human one, laughed timidly, adjusting said glasses. “I don’t know? Maybe it has to do with our… er… natural forms,…- 1.5 K • Oneshot
