What’s Left of You

There exists a world in which, in the darkest moment of her life, trapped in a prison of her own making, Twilight Sparkle’s nightmare ended thanks to the enduring love for the unicorn who’d saved her. Where her heart, for a moment, burned brighter than her miserable self-hate. A world where this was enough to free her mind, to use a necklace one last time, in time to fix what could still be fixed.

But that is not this story. This is not that time.

So, separated in space and time by a rescue that came far too late, Rarity and Twilight grapple with the fact that just because someone is dead doesn’t mean they’re gone.

Set in the universe of The Enchanted Library, specifically an alternate timeline where Twilight escapes the library much, MUCH later than she does at the end of Act III.
